Meeting Your Spiritual Needs
These are truly challenging times for all of us. It’s important to take care of your health ---your physical health, mental health, and spiritual health. Our spiritual needs can be addressed by attending the ministries that Little Bethany offers (i.e. Bible Studies, Prayer Services, Sunday Morning Worship Service, Sunday School, Baptist Training Union, etc…).
Meeting Your Informational Needs
The scientists and medical community are still learning about how the virus spreads and the severity of illness it causes. What is known to date, per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is COVID-19 spreads very easily from person to person during close contact (within 6 feet) of a person with COVID-19. Respiratory droplets are produced when people with COVID-19 cough, sneeze, sing, talk, or breathe. Exposure to these respiratory droplets cause infection when they are inhaled or deposited on the mucous membranes of the nose and mouth. COVID-19 can sometimes be spread by airborne transmission. In other words, the virus may be able to infect people who are further than 6 feet away from someone with COVID-19 or even after that person has left the space. These transmissions usually occurred within enclosed spaces that had inadequate ventilation according to the CDC.
The CDC says the best way to protect yourself, others, and to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus by being vaccinated and boosted. Additionally, take the following steps to slow the spread:
• Stay at least 6 feet stay from others when possible
• Cover your mouth and nose with a mask when around others
• Wash your hands often with soap and water; if soap and water aren’t available use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol
• Avoid crowds and mixing of households
• Stay home and isolate from others when sick
The CDC has information available on almost every topic (vaccines, coping and stress reduction, tips on wearing masks, cleaning and disinfection, testing, symptoms and what action to take, pets, funeral attendance, traveling during pandemic, schools and work places, holiday celebrations, housing and food resources during pandemic, etc…).
